Started in 1931 and still family-owned, the Sonoma Cheese Factory is one of the best known landmarks in Sonoma County.  Located on the beautiful Sonoma plaza, guests from around the world as well as local residents visit us because of our wonderful cheeses along with our deli, wine selection and barbecue restaurant.

GRILL COOK:

We are currently hiring an additional staff member who will work primarily in the busy barbecue restaurant.  This is a part-time which could lead into a full time position, working approximately 30-40 hours per week, including weekend hours. 

The major responsibilities include:
1. Cooking at the grill (high volume)
   a. Hamburgers
   b. BBQ Tri-tip Sandwiches
   c. Pulled Pork Sandwiches
   d. Ribs
   e. Tacos
   f. Hot Dogs & Sausage links
2. Customer Service
3. Setting up the grill prior to lunch
   a. Preping condements
      i. Slicing cheese
     ii. Slicing vegetables
   b. Precooking Tri-tip & Taco meat
   c. Portioning orders
4. Breaking down the grill at the end of the day
5. Cleaning of the grill & Patio area
6. Working in other areas of the store as needed

Qualifications for the position include:
Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong team player, work well under pressure, works clean, and a positive attitude.
Job Experience:  1-2 years of work experience, preferably in a restaurant or deli environment.  Grill experience helpful.

Store Custodian/Receiving Clerk Position

We are looking for a part-time warehouse person working approximately 25-30 hours per week, with weekend work required.  Generally the hours would be 7am- 1pm Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday.

The general responsibilities are:

1.    Cleaning store

2.    Receiving in merchandise

3.    Matching deliveries to orders

4.    Stocking merchandise on store floor

5.    Keeping walk-in neat and items rotated

6.    Keeping warehouse area neat and organized

7.    Working in other areas of the store as needed 

Skills: Excellent customer service skills, strong team player, work well under pressure, work

with a sense of urgency, and a positive attitude.

Job Experience:  At least 1 year of warehouse and custodial experience required. 

Salary Range: $9-$13 DOE
